Award Criteria

Let’s get the party started!

Once the formal proceedings have been attended to, it’s time for all the guests to let their hair down a little and have some fun on the dance floor! The personality of a wedding DJ can make or break a party atmosphere.

This category celebrates DJs who create the perfect, unforgettable wedding atmosphere, reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed.

Judges will look for: technical skill, audience engagement, professionalism and the ability to create an unforgettable musical experience.
Open to all Kent-based DJs, judges will look for evidence of individuals or companies who offer couples real entertainment that delights and impresses both the happy couple and their guests.

Entry Questions:

  1. Tell us about you and your business; include whether you are a preferred supplier, how long you perform for the services you offer and how many weddings you have attended in the last 12 months.
  2. Describe your contract/consultation process and how you interact with the couple and their guests on the night.
  3. Describe your approach to curating wedding playlists and how you adapt to different audiences and themes .
  4. Do you offer any additional services, special effects or unique touches?
  5. What makes you different and why do you deserve to win this award this year?

In your supporting evidence, please include evidence of any association memberships, certificates such as PAT testing etc.  and provide video examples of a range of weddings where you have performed, any other brochures/imagery that showcase your offering, and include a maximum of 6 testimonials that support your entry.

All entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months as at time of judging (October 2025) and be based in Kent.
