Award Criteria

A rising star in the wedding industry!

This award recognises outstanding wedding businesses that have been operating for less than two years and are already making a significant impact.

You will need to tell us about the unique and special differences that you believe your business brings to the couples of Kent, and how you have made an impact already in your first year of trading.

Judges will look for: innovation, exceptional service and a fresh approach that sets the newcomer apart in the competitive wedding market, as well as evidence of growth and positive client feedback. This category is open for newly launched Kent–based wedding businesses, who started trading no later than summer 2024.

Entry Questions:

  1. Tell us about you and your business, including what you do, your trading start date, why you launched your business and how many weddings you have undertaken in the last 12 months.
  2. Describe your product or service, including pricing structures, information about consultation, set up and any on-the-big-day operational services if applicable, explain what makes you different, and give an example of one wedding that you have provided your product/service for in the last 12 months.
  3. Why do you believe your new wedding product/service will benefit the couples of Kent?
  4. How do you ensure that a couple can trust the service or product that you provide, compared to a long-standing company with a more extensive portfolio of testimonials? Include information on your plans for growth and future development.
  5. What makes you different and why do you deserve to win this award this year?

In your supporting evidence, please provide us with a brochure/images/videos for your product/service range and include a maximum of 6 testimonials that support your entry.

All entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months as at time of judging (October 2025) and be based in Kent.
