Award Criteria
Exquisite flavours for the perfect celebration!
This award recognises exceptional wedding chefs and catering professionals who deliver outstanding dining experiences; whether offering full banqueting services or bespoke menus.
Judges will look for: high-quality ingredients, menu creativity, culinary excellence and innovation, and seamless event execution.
Entry Questions:
- Tell us about you and your business, what you do, how long you have been operating and how many weddings you have undertaken in the last 12 months – please include whether you are in-house or preferred supplier and the types of services/banquetting offered.
- Detail your menu offerings and how they are tailored for weddings.
- Describe your consultation process and pricing structure and provide examples of innovative dishes and custom menus you have created.
- Explain how you accommodate dietary requirements and large-scale service.
- What makes you different and why do you deserve to win this award this year?
In your supporting evidence, please provide us with examples (images) of different dishes/menus/ service options (silver service, buffet, other) you have delivered for couples, any brochures you may have and include a maximum of 6 testimonials that support your entry.
Taste Judging
Please note that you are permitted to bring samples of your work to judging day (Ashford International Hotel) judging samples should be in the form of a single platter of cold items which can be kept in a fridge/cool place (according to your instructions). Further details on dates/timings will be sent to all applicants of this category nearer the time.
All entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months as at time of judging (October 2025) and be based in Kent.
