Award Criteria
Capturing love stories through the lens!
We all know how important our photos and memories are to us in everyday life – none more so than those of a couple’s wedding day. A great wedding photographer doesn’t just take pictures –they tell the story of the day in a way that’s timeless and deeply personal. This award recognises exceptional wedding photographers who capture love stories with creativity and technical excellence.
Judges will look for: technical expertise, artistic vision, storytelling ability, client satisfaction and the quality of the final images delivered to couples, and is open to both full and part time professional photographers based in Kent.
A digital portfolio must be supplied for judging, you may also submit 1x physical album for on-the-day judging.
Entry Questions:
- Tell us about your business, how it started, how long you have been operating etc.
- Describe your approach to wedding photography and storytelling, the packages you offer and tell us how many weddings you have photographed in the last 12 months.
- How do you work with couples to capture their special day authentically? What have been your biggest challenges and what back up plans do you have in place?
- Tell us about your ‘couple journey’ from consultation to on-the-big-day to post production and the delivery of final images.
- What makes you different and why do you deserve to win this award this year?
In your supporting evidence, please provide us with a portfolio showcasing three standout weddings, this can either show different styles of photography or different types of setting, lighting, colour etc. provide any brochures/images you may have that showcase your offer/extra services and include a maximum of 6 testimonials that support your entry.
All entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months as at time of judging (October 2025) and be based in Kent.
